Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Chatham). Everything went their way against the Sparta Spartans on Wednesday as they made off with a 10-3 victory. The Cougars not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since May 11, 2024 (when they won 8-1).

With the win, Chatham broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-10. As for Sparta, their defeat ended a nine-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 8-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chatham will square off against Montville at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Considering the Cougars have lost six straight at home and the Mustangs four straight on the road, this one might come down to who's more desperate to change their momentum. As for Sparta, they will challenge Jefferson Township at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
