Basketball Recap: South Texas Christian Academy Takes a Loss

South Texas Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were dealt a 64-27 defeat at the hands of Macedonian Christian. The match marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Macedonian Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ethan Gonzalez led the charge by putting up 16 points. Another player making a difference was Christian Landon, who posted 14 points.

South Texas Christian Academy now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Macedonian Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 18-8 record this season.

South Texas Christian Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 27-9 win against Non Varsity Tournament Opponent on the 22nd. Macedonian Christian has also already played their next match, a 70-43 loss against Takoma Academy on the 22nd.
