Basketball Recap: Heartland Lutheran Red Hornets vs. Silver Lake Mustangs
Heartland Lutheran lost against Silver Lake back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Heartland Lutheran Red Hornets lost 48-23 to the Silver Lake Mustangs. Despite the loss, Heartland Lutheran saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Ella Francl posted eight points and seven rebounds. Chloe Keasling was another key player, putting up four points.
Silver Lake's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Katy Soucek led the charge by dropping a double-double on 11 points and 12 boards.
