Basketball Recap: Desert Ridge Starts Season with Win on the Road

Desert Ridge had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They walked away with a 52-43 victory over the Skyline Coyotes. The Jaguars haven't had any issues with the Coyotes recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Skyline lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Isaiah Bowens, who posted 13 points and three steals. Another player making a difference was Connor Grover, who went 6-for-10 en route to 14 points and five rebounds.

Looking ahead, Desert Ridge will head out to take on Gilbert Christian at 10:00 a.m. on Friday. As for Skyline, they will challenge Mingus at 1:00 p.m. on Friday.
