Football Recap: Carver Vo-Tech Skates Past Edmondson-Westside with Ease

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Carver Vo-Tech). They blew past the Edmondson-Westside Red Storm 41-14 on Thursday. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Bears with their most commanding win of the season.

Christian Bryant was nothing short of spectacular: he picked up 165 receiving yards and three touchdowns. His longest reception was for an incredible 73 yards.

Carver Vo-Tech's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB six times. In fact, those sacks all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Elijah Jones. Thanks to that big game, he is now up to 7 sacks on the season.

The victory was the third in a row for Carver Vo-Tech, bringing their record up to 3-3. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 29.0 points over those games. As for Edmondson-Westside, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.

Carver Vo-Tech wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 37-6 victory against Lewis on the 16th. As for Edmondson-Westside, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 24-0 loss against Green Street Academy on the 16th.
