Newcomerstown won against Buckeye Trail last Tuesday with eight runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Wednesday. The Trojans were the clear victors by an 8-1 margin over the Warriors. The Trojans not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 23, 2024.

The win made it two in a row for Newcomerstown and bumps their season record up to 2-1. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 4 runs in those games. As for Buckeye Trail, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 2-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Newcomerstown will welcome Ridgewood at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Buckeye Trail, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Monroe Central at 5:00 p.m.
