Basketball Recap: East Moline Christian Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

East Moline Christian had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 24-21 win over the Quad Cities Christian Eagles on Tuesday. This was a revenge game for East Moline Christian: when they faced off against Quad Cities Christian back in December of 2024, they had to take a 46-22 defeat.

When it comes to explaining why Quad Cities Christian lost, don't look at Ayda Kyer. Despite the final result, she posted 11 points along with seven rebounds and five steals. Kyer is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 17 games she's played.

East Moline Christian's victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-11. As for Quad Cities Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 8-15.

East Moline Christian will head out on the road to challenge Morning Star Academy at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. East Moline Christian hasn't scored more than 24 points for three games straight, a trend the team is eager to reverse. Quad Cities Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
