Softball Recap: Perry Comes Up Short

Perry lost to Waynesfield-Goshen back in April of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Commodores lost 16-6 to the Tigers.

Perry saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kierra Woods, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Learyk Nestor was another, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with two runs.

Perry's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Waynesfield-Goshen, they moved to 3-6 with that victory, which also ended their six-game losing streak.

Looking ahead, Perry will be playing at home against Lima Senior at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Spartans have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.09 runs per game on average), something the Commodores will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Waynesfield-Goshen, they will venture away from home to square off against Ridgedale at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
