The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Vikings considering their one-goal performance the matchup before.

Meanwhile, after soaring to four goals the game before, Makua Lani Christian was a bit more limited in their contest on Thursday. They came up short against Konawaena, falling 3-0.

Hilo's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-1-1. As for Makua Lani Christian, they now have a losing record at 1-2.

Everything went Hilo's way against Makua Lani Christian in their previous matchup back in January of 2023, as Hilo made off with a 9-0 win. Will Hilo repeat their success, or does Makua Lani Christian have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
