Basketball Recap: Merryville's Loss Ends Three-Game Winning Streak at Home

Merryville was the 46-35 winner over Grand Lake when they last played one another back in November of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Merryville Panthers fell 61-51 to the Grand Lake Hornets on Tuesday.

Merryville's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 18-7. As for Grand Lake, their victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 13-10.

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Merryville Panthers duke it out with the Basile Bearcats at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Grand Lake has already played their next contest (against Oberlin), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
