Brookstone has gone 8-2 against First Presbyterian Day recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The Cougars will square off against the Vikings at 2:00 p.m. Brookstone is coming into the match hot, having won their last six games.

On Tuesday, Brookstone had just enough and edged out Glenwood 2-1.

Brookstone had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 29-27, 15-11.

Meanwhile, First Presbyterian Day didn't have quite enough to beat Stratford Academy on Tuesday and fell 3-2. The Vikings haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

First Presbyterian Day took Stratford Academy into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking three-point loss. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-22, 23-25, 23-25, 15-12.

Brookstone's victory bumped their record up to 25-6. As for First Presbyterian Day, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-17.

Brookstone beat First Presbyterian Day 2-0 when the teams last played back in August of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cougars since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
