Basketball Recap: Reagan Smith's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Taylor's Crossing over Grace Lutheran

Taylor's Crossing lost against Grace Lutheran back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Taylor's Crossing Eagles took a 46-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Grace Lutheran Royals. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Taylor's Crossing lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Reagan Smith, who posted 18 points and three steals. Smith has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 15 times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Alexis Ellis, who earned six points along with 11 rebounds and five assists.

Taylor's Crossing's loss dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Grace Lutheran, their win bumped their record up to an identical 8-10.

Taylor's Crossing does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Grace Lutheran, they will head out to take on Leadore at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Leadore has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
