Basketball Recap: Edgar Comes Up Short

Edgar was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 58-35 to the Auburndale Apaches. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 278th, while the Apaches are ranked 68th).

Edgar's loss dropped their record down to 7-15. As for Auburndale, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 14 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-4 record this season.

Edgar has already played their next contest (against Chequamegon), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Auburndale, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 47-33 victory against Athens on the 14th.
