Soccer Game Preview: Tahlequah vs. Grove

The Tahlequah Tigers will take on the Grove Ridgerunners at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.

Tahlequah took a loss when they played away from home last Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. Their defense stepped up to hand Locust Grove a 5-0 shutout. That five goal margin sets a new team best for Tahlequah this season.

Meanwhile, Grove made easy work of McAlester two weeks ago and carried off a 3-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Grove.

Grove pushed their record up to 5-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those four matches. As for Tahlequah, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-3.
