Basketball Game Preview: Radford Bobcats vs. Salem Spartans

Having just played yesterday, the Radford Bobcats will head out on the road to face off against the Salem Spartans at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Radford took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They secured a 51-47 W over Glenvar.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Salem). They were the clear victor by an 85-65 margin over Christiansburg on Tuesday. Given the Spartans' advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 44th, while the Blue Demons are ranked 331st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Radford's record now sits at 8-11. As for Salem, their record now sits at 15-3.

Radford and Salem were neck-and-neck in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, but Radford came up empty-handed after a 41-40 defeat. Can Radford avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
