Soccer Recap: Gordon Central Takes a Loss

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Gordon Central and Coosa, and Coosa kept the tradition alive. The Warriors fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 1-0 on Thursday. The contest was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but Gordon Central couldn't quite close it out.

Gordon Central has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season. As for Coosa, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-6.

Looking ahead, Gordon Central will head out on the road to square off against Armuchee at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Coosa, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Darlington at 5:00 p.m. on the 17th.
