Basketball Recap: Kennett Takes a Loss

Kennett was the 56-36 winner over Twin Rivers when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Kennett Indians lost 67-42 to the Twin Rivers Royals on Saturday.

Despite the defeat, Kennett saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Alyce Edwards posted 26 points. Edwards' morning made it 11 games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points.

Kennett now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Twin Rivers, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.

Kennett will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Kelly at 6:00 p.m. on January 7th. As for Twin Rivers, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 62-30 victory against Puxico on the 3rd.
