Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Jersey Village). Everything went their way against the Temple Wildcats on Thursday as the Jersey Village Falcons made off with an 8-2 win. Considering the Falcons have won three games by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Jack Bielamowicz spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on six hits and racked up seven Ks.

At the plate, Donovan Arroyo was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. David Castillo Guerra was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

Jersey Village always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .594. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The victory snapped Jersey Village's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-6 record. As for Temple, they dropped their record down to 1-7-1 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jersey Village will take on Cypress Ranch in a tournament on Friday. Cypress Ranch's pitching crew has only allowed 1.3 runs per game this season, so Jersey Village's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Temple, they will be taking part in a tournament against Langham Creek at 10:00 a.m. on Friday. Temple is facing Langham Creek at the right time seeing as Langham Creek is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
