Basketball Recap: Mabel-Canton Triumphs

Mabel-Canton won the last time they faced Lyle/Pacelli, and Isaac Underbakke did his part to make sure it happened again. Everything went the Mabel-Canton Cougars' way against the Lyle/Pacelli Athletics on Friday as the Mabel-Canton Cougars made off with an 88-68 win thanks in part to Underbakke, who shot 5-for-5 from beyond the arc and almost dropped a triple-double on 32 points, 18 boards, and nine assists. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points.

Kale Tollefsrud was another key player, going 5 of 9 en route to 11 points. He is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games.

Mabel-Canton's record is now 6-10. As for Lyle/Pacelli, their defeat was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-14.

Mabel-Canton will challenge Grand Meadow at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lyle/Pacelli, they will welcome Lanesboro at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
