Basketball Recap: Loveland Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Katy Wilber and Ryann Unruh

Loveland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 53-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Harrison Wildcats. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 276th, while the Wildcats are ranked 78th).

Ryann Unruh and Katy Wilber certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Unruh posted eight points in addition to 11 boards and five assists, while Wilber scored nine points along with six rebounds and four steals. Those 11 boards gave Unruh a new career-high.

Loveland's defeat dropped their record down to 7-15. As for Harrison, they pushed their record up to 21-1 with the victory, which was their 12th straight on the road.

Loveland didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 63-44 win against Anderson on the 17th. Harrison has also already played their next matchup (against Kings), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
