Basketball Game Preview: Antioch Sequoits vs. Lemont Lemont HS

The Antioch Sequoits just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Lemont Lemont HS at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. Antioch has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Having struggled with three defeats in a row, Antioch turned things around against Addison Trail on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 51-48 win over the Blazers. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Sequoits have posted since November 21, 2023.

Antioch's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Heidi Rathmann, who posted 23 points. The game was Rathmann's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Scarlett Carroll, who had 14 points.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Lemont's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 46-45 to Wheaton Academy.

Lemont's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Antioch, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-8.
