Volleyball Recap: St. Patrick-St. Vincent Comes Up Short

St. Patrick-St. Vincent lost against Berean Christian back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Bruins lost 3-0 to the Eagles. The Bruins have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

While St. Patrick-St. Vincent was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-15, 25-20.

Abiah Valenzuela paced St. Patrick-St. Vincent's offense, picking up eight kills. Valenzuela got some help from Danica Pagtakhan and her 18 assists. Pagtakhan was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

St. Patrick-St. Vincent now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Berean Christian, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

After both having extra time off, St. Patrick-St. Vincent and Albany will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. This will be the Bruins' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Berean Christian, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 victory against Piedmont on the 2nd.
