The Park City Miners will face off against the Ridgeline Riverhawks at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Park City is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.7 runs per game this season.
Park City came out on top against Stansbury on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive nine-run sixth inning. The Miners blew past the Stallions 18-6. Surprisingly, this marked the Miners' third straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Royal Matthews was incredible, going 4-for-5 with one home run, four RBI, and two doubles. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Wesley Dewitt, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Park City kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 18 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Ridgeline waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Titans, sneaking past 5-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Riverhawks have posted since March 17th.
Ben Thompson tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over 6.1 innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Cooper Clark, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and one RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played.
Park City is on a roll lately: they've won 16 of their last 18 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.9 runs on average over those games. As for Ridgeline, they pushed their record up to 20-4 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Monday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Park City has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.7 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Ridgeline struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 6.8 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Park City skirted past Ridgeline 3-1 in their previous meeting back in May of 2018. Do the Miners have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Riverhawks turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
