Football Recap: New Standard Academy Piles Up the Points Against Beecher/Johnson

The matchup between New Standard Academy and Beecher/Johnson on Friday hardly resembled the 12-6 effort from their previous meeting. The Spartans claimed a resounding 65-0 win over Beecher/Johnson. The Spartans' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

The victory was the fourth in a row for New Standard Academy, bringing their record up to 5-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 47.8 points over those games. As for Beecher/Johnson, their defeat was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. New Standard Academy will host Flint Southwestern Academy at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Spartans will be up against the Knights' rather soft defense (which has allowed 43.5 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
