Football Recap: Rosman Takes a Loss

Rosman lost against Cherokee back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Tigers had to suffer through a 40-6 loss at the hands of the Braves. The Tigers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 20-0.

Kingston Welch went supernova For Cherokee., rushing for 175 yards and four touchdowns on only 15 carries. Those 175 rushing yards gave Welch a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Watty, who rushed for 68 yards and one score on only six carries.

Rosman now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Cherokee, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-3.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Rosman will square off against rival Hayesville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Cherokee is set to take on their familiar foe Murphy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
