Baseball Recap: Mesa Comes Up Short

Mesa was the 5-3 winner over Skyline when they last played one another on Monday, but their luck changed this time around. The Jackrabbits fell just short of the Coyotes by a score of 4-3 on Thursday. The Jackrabbits have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Mesa saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lane Goodman, who went 2-for-3 with one triple and one RBI.

Mesa's loss dropped their record down to 4-18. As for Skyline, they moved to 12-11 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Coming up, Mesa will host Mountain View at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Skyline, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 4-2 win against Williams Field on the 19th.
