Baseball Recap: Sutton Triumphs

Sutton's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They came out on top against the Millis Mohawks by a score of 10-6. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Sammies/Suzies' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

Andrew Cloutier made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits. Cloutier was also big at the plate, scoring a run while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jack Patraitis, who went 1-for-5 with one home run and four RBI. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Jackson Kehowski was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.

The win got Sutton back to even at 2-2. As for Millis, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Coming up, Sutton will square off against Blackstone-Millville at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Millis, they have already played their next matchup, a 10-6 defeat against Sutton/Douglas on the 10th.
