Basketball Recap: Anaheim Gets the Win

Anaheim's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They came out on top against the Orange Panthers by a score of 75-65. That's more bragging rights for the Colonists, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Orange's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sebastian Nunez, who posted 15 points. Alexander Villa was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Anaheim's win bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Orange, their defeat was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-11.

Anaheim won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Samueli Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Orange, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Orange Panthers duke it out with the Westminster Lions at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Orange has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
