After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Forest Hills, West Stanly was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They put the hurt on the Anson Bearcats with a sharp 65-44 win. The Colts have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 21 points or more this season.

Anson's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Za'Kiah Hixson, who almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine rebounds, and Alaysia Caraway, who posted eight points along with 13 boards and five steals. The dominant performance gave Caraway a new career-high in rebounds.

West Stanly's victory bumped their record up to 13-10. As for Anson, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-14.

Looking ahead, West Stanly will head out on the road to square off against Piedmont at 6:00 p.m. on February 14th. As for Anson, they will take on Forest Hills at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
