Soccer Game Preview: Americas vs. Monterey

The Americas Trail Blazers will take on the Monterey Plainsmen on Monday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Americas comes in on four and Monterey on nine.

Americas is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They never let El Paso get on the board and left with a 2-0 victory.

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last game, Monterey made sure to put some goals up on the board against Abilene on Friday. They blew past the Eagles 4-1. The result was nothing new for Monterey, who have now won ten matches by three goals or more so far this season.

They hit Abilene with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Frankie Diaz (2), JT Tuttle, and Miguel Robledo.

Americas' win bumped their record up to 12-6-1. As for Monterey, their victory bumped their record up to 19-0-2.
