Softball Recap: Mosley Comes Up Short

Mosley's last matchup with Leon could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's matchup on Friday. The Mosley Dolphins lost 18-3 to the Leon Lions. The defeat continues a trend for the Dolphins in their matchups with the Lions: they've now lost three in a row.

Ava Kennedy was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double. Another player making a difference was Bayleigh Cox, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.

Mosley now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Leon, their win bumped their record up to 4-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mosley will challenge South Walton at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Mosley has given up an average of 10.8 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Leon, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Lions duke it out with the Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
