Softball Recap: Perry Comes Up Short

Perry lost to Continental back in May of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Commodores came up short against the Pirates, falling 27-1.

Perry saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kierra Woods, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run. Woods is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games she's played.

Perry's loss dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Continental, their win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-3.

Looking ahead, Perry will welcome Ridgedale at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The Commodores are facing the Rockets at the right time seeing as the Rockets are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Continental, they will venture away from home to challenge Miller City at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Pirates' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wildcats have averaged an impressive 8.3 runs per game this season.
