Basketball Game Preview: Chapman Panthers vs. Pendleton Bulldogs

Two dominant guards in Grayden Humphries and Samuel Ross are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Chapman Panthers will face off against the Pendleton Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Chapman is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 63.4 points per game this season.

Chapman is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They took down Southside Christian 70-54.

Chapman's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Cade St Charles, who dropped a double-double with 22 points and 11 rebounds. St Charles' evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Khamari Turner, who dropped a double-double with ten points and 11 boards.

Chapman was working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. They are 20-3 when they've passed the ball that well.

Meanwhile, Pendleton got the win against Broome on Monday by a conclusive 70-47.

Pendleton has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-14 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.3 points over those games. As for Chapman, their record now sits at 21-5.

Chapman lost to Pendleton on the road by a decisive 73-57 margin in their previous meeting back in February of 2018. Can the Panthers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
