Soccer Recap: Germantown Comes Up Short

Germantown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 7-0 to the Lakeland Preparatory Lions. While losing is never fun, Germantown can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee soccer rankings (they are ranked 247th, while Lakeland Preparatory are ranked 66th).

Germantown's loss dropped their record down to 1-10-1. As for Lakeland Preparatory, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-2-2 record this season.

Germantown didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 5-3 win against Pleasant View Christian on the 13th. As for Lakeland Preparatory, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next game, an 8-0 victory against Douglass on the 15th.
