After a string of five wins, West Feliciana's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They fell just short of the Brusly Panthers by a score of 4-3. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Saints of the 5-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

West Feliciana's defeat dropped their record down to 19-8. As for Brusly, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-4-1 record this season.

West Feliciana and Brusly should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Louisiana Rankings. The Saints (ranked 59th) will meet Livonia (ranked 211th) at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Brusly will square off against Riverdale at 6:00 p.m. on Friday with a big rank advantage (24 vs. 138).
