Softball Game Preview: Lakeshore vs. Loranger Wolves

Lakeshore is preparing for their first district matchup of the season on Tuesday. They are taking a road trip to challenge the Loranger Wolves at 5:00 p.m. Lakeshore will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

Lakeshore's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 17-0 margin over Pine. The result was nothing new for Lakeshore, who have now won five matchups by eight runs or more so far this season.

Lakeshore got a massive performance out of B Braud 2029, who went 2-for-3 with five stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. Braud 2029 continues to improve, besting her previous run total in each of the last three games she's played. T Willie 2028 was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, two doubles, and one stolen base.

Lakeshore always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .688. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Meanwhile, in Saturday's Canine Competition, Loranger had to make due with a tie. They and Fontainebleau finished up on equal footing with a 6-6 tie on Saturday.

With that tie, Loranger's record moves to 5-4-1. As for Lakeshore, their record is now 8-3.

Lakeshore might still be hurting after the 11-1 defeat they got from Loranger in their previous matchup back in March of 2025. Can Lakeshore avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
