Softball Recap: LAMP Golden Tigers vs. Greenville Tigers

LAMP lost against Greenville back in February of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The LAMP Golden Tigers fell just short of the Greenville Tigers by a score of 5-4.

Caroline Russell was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. On the mound, she struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 3-for-3. Those stolen bases marked the first that she's stolen this season.
