Volleyball Recap: Cairo-Durham Comes Up Short

Cairo-Durham lost against Watervliet back in September of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Mustangs lost 3-0 to the Cannoneers. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Cairo-Durham took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-17, 27-25.

Cairo-Durham's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Watervliet, they pushed their record up to 11-2 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Cairo-Durham will head out to face off against Middleburgh at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Watervliet, they will take on Rensselaer at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
