Baseball Recap: Cramerton Christian Academy Triumphs

Cramerton Christian Academy hadn't done well against Vandalia Christian recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. Cramerton Christian Academy walked away with a 6-2 victory over Vandalia Christian. This was payback for the Crusaders, who suffered an 8-1 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Eli Fulbright made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. Those 11 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with three RBI and one double.

In other batting news, Cooper Curell was excellent, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4. Those three hits gave him a new career-high.

Cramerton Christian Academy has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 3 runs this season. As for Vandalia Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 4-2.
