Mountain Valley hadn't done well against Antonito recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Wolves were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Trojans. The Wolves were shut out 3-0 the last time they took on the Trojans, so the Wolves were just returning the favor.

One reason for the win was Mountain Valley's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The final score came out to 26-24, 25-22, 25-10.

Milley Knight paced Mountain Valley's offense, picking up 11 kills. Knight got some help from Ivy Jean VanEgmond and her 22 assists. Finally, Knight was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high eight blocks.

Mountain Valley's win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-5 and their overall record up to 5-15. As for Antonito, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-14.

Mountain Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Antonito, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 loss against Manzanola on the 31st.
