Volleyball Recap: Philip Takes a Loss

If Philip was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Stanley County on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Scotties fell 2-0 to the Sully Buttes Chargers on Saturday. The Scotties were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Chargers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-16, 25-18.

Kale Peterson paced Philip's offense, picking up four kills. Peterson got some help from Memphis Konst and her six assists. Charlee Ramsey controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Philip dropped their record down to 1-5 with the loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Sully Buttes, they moved to 3-6 with that win, which also ended their five-game losing streak.

Philip has already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Kimball/White Lake on the 13th. As for Sully Buttes, they will head out to face off against Lyman at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
