Southeast's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They blew past the Liberty Leopards 3-0. The win continues a trend for the Pirates in their matchups with the Leopards: they've now won four in a row.

Southeast walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the second set). The final score came out to 25-19, 25-14, 25-18.

Leila Evans paced Southeast's offense, picking up 12 kills. Evans got some help from Neena Truex and her 35 assists. Truex also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Elise Kennedy, each putting up four.

Kiera Thigpen and Saffron Blank certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Thigpen had nine digs and six assists, while Blank had eight assists.

Southeast's win bumped their record up to 7-13. As for Liberty, they are on a 15-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-16.

Southeast has already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Garfield on the 8th. As for Liberty, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against East Palestine on the 9th.
