While Seckman's win against Festus wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Jaguars skirted past the Tigers 9-7. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Jaguars also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

Seckman is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.7 runs over those games. As for Festus, their loss ended a nine-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 12-5-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Seckman will head out to take on Kirkwood at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. The Pioneers' pitching crew has only allowed 3.1 runs per game this season, so the Jaguars' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Festus, they will challenge Hillsboro at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Tigers are facing the Hawks at the right time seeing as the Hawks are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
