Preview: San Luis Obispo Tigers vs. Tulare Union The Tribe
Two dominant signal callers in Jace Gomes and Jordan Crisp are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The San Luis Obispo Tigers will head out on the road to face off against the Tulare Union The Tribe at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. San Luis Obispo is coming into the game hot, having won their last four games.
Last Friday, San Luis Obispo had just enough and edged Templeton out 17-14.
It was another big night for Gomes, who rushed for 95 yards, and also threw for 86 yards and a touchdown while completing 85.7% of his passes.
Meanwhile, Tulare Union didn't have too much trouble with Tulare Western on the road on Friday as they won 43-28.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Tulare Union to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tieler Peterson, who rushed for 150 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.3 yards per carry. Crisp was another key contributor, throwing for 281 yards and three touchdowns.
San Luis Obispo is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. As for Tulare Union, their win bumped their record up to 6-4.
