Basketball Recap: Shaw Takes a Loss

Shaw was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss dating back to last season. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 42-37 heartbreaker at the hands of the East Tech Scarabs. The Cardinals were probably out for revenge after losing 44-30 to them when the teams met back in January of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Shaw's defeat dropped their record down to 0-11. As for East Tech, their win bumped their record up to 5-7.

Shaw will host Benedictine at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for East Tech, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Bard Early College at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
