Basketball Game Preview: ALA - Ironwood Warriors vs. Northwest Christian Crusaders

The ALA - Ironwood Warriors will take on the Northwest Christian Crusaders at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. ALA - Ironwood is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.4 points per game this season.

Back in December of 2024, ALA - Ironwood didn't have quite enough to beat Florence and fell 60-58. While the Warriors didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Gophers 17-9 in the first quarter.

Despite their defeat, ALA - Ironwood saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Noah Adkins, who posted 12 points and four steals, was perhaps the best of all. Another player making a difference was Porter Lee, who put up 12 points.

Even though they lost, ALA - Ironwood was working as a unit and finished the game with 17 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in January of 2024.

Meanwhile, Northwest Christian opened the new year with a less-than-successful 44-34 loss to Arizona Lutheran Academy. The defeat continues a trend for the Crusaders in their matchups with the Coyotes: they've now lost three in a row.

ALA - Ironwood's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-3. As for Northwest Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-6.

ALA - Ironwood didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Northwest Christian in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, but they still walked away with a 62-57 win. Does ALA - Ironwood have another victory up their sleeve, or will Northwest Christian turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
