1A Conference 10 recap October 8, 2013
Perquimans was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from fourth to second in 1A Conference 10. The Pirates beat Gates County 34-32 earlier in the week.
Camden County scaled the state rankings by moving to 267 from 298 this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Bruins climbed the ranks as a result of besting Manteo 38-35.
Camden County's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Bruins feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Noah Tuttle has thrown for 380 yards and 5 touchdowns this season, while Christian Latham has 15 catches for 237 yards.
An important game coming up in the league this week will be when Columbia takes on the Redskins. At the moment, the Wildcats are in fourth, while Manteo is in third.
Mattamuskeet fell to Columbia 44-14 last week, the largest margin of any game.
