Soccer Recap: South Hills Takes a Loss

South Hills lost against Wyatt back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was the Wyatt Chaparrals who were credited with the win. The Wyatt Chaparrals got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to the South Hills Scorpions' three. While losing is never fun, the Scorpions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 302nd, while the Chaparrals are ranked 41st).

South Hills dropped their record down to 9-8 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Wyatt, the victory was the 18th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 20-1.

Coming up, South Hills and North Side will meet in a classic North v. South matchup at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. As for Wyatt, they will take on Trimble Tech at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. Trimble Tech's last eight contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
