Softball Recap: Firebaugh Extends Home Winning Streak to Four

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Bellflower, Firebaugh was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They blew past the Dominguez Dons 20-4. The result was nothing new for the Falcons, who have now won eight matchups by ten runs or more so far this season.

Firebaugh got a massive performance out of Joanna Vasquez, who went 3-for-4 with two triples, two stolen bases, and three RBI. That's the most stolen bases Vasquez has posted since back in March. Samantha Ayala was another key player, going a perfect 5-for-5 with four runs, three RBI, and one double.

Firebaugh pushed their record up to 10-11-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.5 runs over those games. As for Dominguez, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-10.

As of now, neither Firebaugh nor the Dons have any future games scheduled.
