Soccer Game Preview: Highland Home vs. Ariton

The Highland Home Flying Squadron will head out to take on the Ariton Purple Cats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Highland Home's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for seven straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Highland Home fell victim to Providence Christian and their airtight defense on Thursday. They came up short against the Eagles, falling 10-0. While losing is never fun, Highland Home can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama soccer rankings (they are ranked 228th, while Providence Christian are ranked 105th).

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Ariton's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They lost 10-0 to Dale County.

Highland Home's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Ariton, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-8-1.

Highland Home might still be hurting after the 6-0 loss they got from Ariton in their previous matchup last Monday. Can Highland Home avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
